History of Ceyestar: Though our history of Cinnamon business started from 1930, the basement or the ground level reason for our business was Mr. Aranolis served in 1890’s as a security (kankanama) of a huge cinnamon plantation in Mathara district. After that the security job received to his son Mr.Peris Appuhami.Then Mr.Dawith Appuhami started the home made cinnamon. At that time he started to grow cinnamon in the garden within very limited land resources. Since he could improve the business step by step, it made him able to sell cinnamon beens too. When the time comes, his son Mr.Agneesan Appuhami joined to the business by gathering the ownership, this home base cinnamon business had received considerable recognition and reputation within Sri Lanka. In 1985 the business could able to turn up a new episode after the arrival of his son Mr.Saliya Kumara who was having a vast knowledge and exposure towards the cinnamon cultivation and business.
